Concerns About Sheffield United Manager Raised Before Maddy Cusack's Death, Inquest Told

Former Sheffield United goalkeeper Nina Wilson told the inquest she had tried to escalate concerns about manager Jonathan Morgan prior to Maddy Cusack's death in 2023, but did not feel heard. Another former player and Morgan's former assistant Luke Turner said he had never personally witnessed Morgan bullying Cusack or other players. Morgan is due to give evidence on Monday. The inquest is examining the circumstances around Cusack's 2023 death, with testimony revealing significant safeguarding and welfare failures at the club during a critical period of transition.
