Premier League clubs' pre-tax losses surge to £948m, up 600% in one year
The combined pre-tax losses of Premier League clubs rose from £135m in 2023-24 to £948m in 2024-25, according to Deloitte's annual review of football finance. Deloitte attributed the increase to transfer spending and the absence of significant one-off player sale profits. Net debt across the division also rose, from £3.5bn to £3.6bn.
